December 5th 2015 – Sanctification and transmitting the Light in Grand Lodge of Serbia
In the festive decorated Temple “Poseidon”, at December 5th 2015, with the presence of a large number of Brethren and guests from abroad, representatives of the Supreme Council of Serbia, the highest Masonic authority of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite on the territory of Serbia, transferred the Light in the Grand Lodge of Serbia in the ancient Masonic way of manner. They gave their Decree (Patent), which allowed the Grand Lodge of Serbia to operate using the rituals of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, as well as the Rituals for the first 3 Degrees, Golden Book and the Book of Records. The Work was held and the Light transferred by Deputy Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of Serbia, the oldest member of the Masonic Brotherhood – Brother N.B.A.
After several hours of the Ritual, performed strictly according to the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, the Constituent Assembly of the Grand Lodge of Serbia help place, during which the Grand Master and the Grand Officers of the GrandLodge of Serbia were elected. For the Most Worshipful Master of the Grand Lodge of Serbia was elected Brother Zoran Knežević, Master of the Royal Arts. Elected Grand Officer are the following Brothers: 1st Grand Deputy Grand Master – Brother I.P, 2nd Grand Deputy Grand Master – Brother Z.M, 1st Grand Supervisor – Brother M.M, 2nd Grand Supervisor – Brother S.K, Grand Orator – Brother B. R, Grand Secretary – Brother Lj.B, Grand Chancellor – Brother V.R, Grand Master of Ceremony – Brother G.P, Grand Expert – Brother E.G, Grand Hospitalier – Brother A.A, Grand Treasurer – Brother N.K, Grand Tyler – Brother K.I, Grand Host – Brother E.M. and Grand Ensign – Br. P.P.
Grand Orator of the Supreme Council of Serbia, Brother Dragan Martinović addressed assembled Brothers with congratulations regarding the start of work, emphasizing that this Grand Lodge gathers the most honorable and the most dignified Serbian Freemasons, to whom the truth and the honor are in the first place. Following this historical act, around 100 Brothers continued to entertain with the presence of the Sisters of Belgrade Masonic Lodges, all until the early morning hours, with pleasant music in a luxury restaurant in downtown Belgrade.
